Digital Empowerment Foundation (DEF) is working in Telangana state as a part of IPLM. It is one of the world's leading practitioners in the field of Information and Communication Technology for Development (ICTD). Its founder and director, Osama Manzer is now globally recognised as an expert in this field and he, either individually or DEF as an organisation, is a member of several national and international government and non-government bodies, expert panels and task forces engaged in the task of promoting a digitally-empowered and information-rich society.

MSSRF is associated with IPLM through its International Network of Emerging Library Innovators (INELI)-India programme, which is one of the seven regional INELIs initiated in August 2015 exclusively for Indian public librarians. These library innovators are changing their respective libraries and making it community oriented and inclusive.
MSSRF was established in 1988 as a not-for-profit trust. It was envisioned and founded by Professor M. S. Swaminathan with proceeds from the First World Food Prize that he received in 1987. The Foundation aims to accelerate the use of modern science for agricultural and rural development for the development and dissemination of technology to improve the lives and livelihoods of tribal and rural communities. MSSRF follows a pro-poor, pro-women and pro-nature approach and applies appropriate science and technology options to address practical problems faced by rural populations in agriculture, food and nutrition.
These efforts have been undertaken in a participatory manner and in partnership with other knowledge-based institutions, public and private sector organisations and local communities. The Kerala Education Development and Employment Society (KEDES) came to the fore in 1990, initiated by a committed team of enlightened social workers of Kerala, under the leadership of the renowned social activist and reformer P N Panicker. He was the father of many non-formal education movements like KANFED, literacy campaigns such as ‘Total Literacy 1986’. P N Panicker was the founder Secretary and Justice V R Krishna Iyer was the Founder Chairman of KEDES. KEDES was formed as an extension activity of library and literacy movement of Kerala and give more emphasis on Skill and Employment Development.
Prajayatna is working in the state of Uttar Pradesh to serve IPLM objectives with technical support provided by India Education Collective (IEC). Prajayatna is a development initiative working to improve the quality of education in Indian public (government) schools. From a systems perspective, this initiative attempts to address the quality in education through facilitating a capabilities based learning paradigm in government schools with active involvement of the local communities, teachers, local elected representatives, Panchayati Raj structures and the education bureaucracy, ensuring both better management of the schools and better delivery of quality education from these schools.
