Now in its fifth year, IPLM has embarked on an untiring journey in rejuvenating public libraries and empowering communities with value added knowledge, information and services. Today, the Movement chronicles the changing space of public libraries and how it has come to be accessed by various communities.

IPLM will be commemorating its five year anniversary through the release of a book, ‘Stories of Change: Impacting Lives through Public Libraries’. The stories celebrate the public libraries, the librarians and the lives impacted through various initiatives and interventions of IPLM.

A short film on ‘Technology Empowering Girls’ (TeG) showcasing digital empowerment of adolescent girls and women from the marginalised communities through public libraries, will be screened.

The solemn occasion will be graced by the presence of Mrs. Meenakshi Lekhi, Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha.

We will also be joined by dignitaries from the Government, UNDP, British Council amongst others.
