The renovated Williamstown library was opened in September, 2012 and it is one of the libraries fall under the Hobsons Bay City Council. The library caters to the fishing community with a population of over 13,000. Williamston’s maritime heritage is reflected in the building’s architectural features, which looks like a boat. The library opens from 09.30am to 08.00pm on Monday to Thursday, 09.30am – 06.00pm on Friday, 10.00am – 01.00pm on Saturday and 02.00pm – 05.00pm on Sunday.
