Indian Public Library Movement (IPLM) in collaboration with the Department of Libraries and Research, Government of Jammu and Kashmir organized a three days training and capability building programme (16th-18th April 2018). The programme was attended by 24 librarians from across the state.
Global perspective of library, understanding of the community, customer services and realisation of the self, were some of the core elements of the training. The training followed a participatory strategy to encourage librarians to reflect and analyse strategies for change in transforming libraries to community knowledge centres. Energisers and games were used intermittently to facilitate learning through real life situations.
